The Royal Photography Society London Region presents "Water in London - a Photographer's View" on the railings outside Southwark Cathedral from 18 April - 17 May.

‘Water in London’: a photographer’s eye view

The Royal Photographic Society (RPS) is a membership organisation and educational charity committed to bringing photography to everyone.  Founded when photography was in its infancy, today we are one of the world’s leading photographic communities.  Our mission is to inspire, encourage creativity and connect people of all ages and backgrounds through photography.

From July to October, London Region Members of the Royal Photographic Society have photographed and recorded London’s waterways, ponds, fountains, reservoirs, nature reserves or lakes.  Taking a photographer’s eye view, the photography covers scenes of people playing, living by or using the water as well as the story of London’s rivers for continued industrial use.

Our exhibition at Southwark Cathedral from Saturday 18 April to Sunday 17 May, includes 64 images from 32 photographers.  It covers all parts of London, including some of the capital’s lesser-known waterways and includes abstract images, landscapes and cityscapes.

Free, no ticket required.
